Plans are currently underway for the 2011 Festival. The entertainment has been booked and we're actively looking for Sponsors and businesses to Advertise in our handout. Last year over 1,100 attended and we're expecting an even larger turnout this year!! Post Title. 07/29/2010
Sorry but it took a couple of days to recover from a very successful event. In our very first year we had 1,162 people in attendance!! Over 100 children enjoyed the face painting, balloon artists and kiddy's store and over 1,000 adults enjoyed the music, food, various vendors and of course...the Guinness!! Thanks to all who attended and supported the event and to the Summerfest Committee and the countless volunteers that made the day so enjoyable. We've already begun looking at dates for next Summer. Only 19 days to go until Irish Summerfest 2010!! Have you seen our posters or heard our Ads on the radio? if not, please let us now and we'll get them out to you. So far we have confirmed the following Food Vendors: The Claddagh, Tommy Doyle's, Chapin's Fish and Chips and Captain Parkers. In addition, the following Vendors will be selling their Irish wares: Wild Daisies, Mrs. Mitchell's, Keltic Cottage, IshopIrish, Irish Village, Shamrock Nation and Enchanted Irish along with photography by Carol Shea and Maria McConnell-Dalton, books by author Kevin O'Hara and CD's from our Local Musicians. We will also be holding a raffle for a Lobster Boat Cruise that holds over 60 people and Guinness will be bringing their Beer truck!!! Tickets are on sale at the Melody Tent website or if you want to save the Service Charge you can get tickets at the Melody Tent Box Office ahead of time or same day. Tickets are also available at the Sons of Erin Cape Cod. Poster have been printed and will be displayed soon. Big Mike from the SOECC here!! We're all very excited for the First Annual Cape Cod Irish Summerfest. The date has been secured, the logo designed, the contracts signed, the entertainment is booked, the tickets are on sale and soon we'll be approaching local establishments to see if they would like to be one of our 14 vendors to serve food or sell their Irish wares.
